Who's playing a Country Boy OM?

Postby pnwpicker » Fri Aug 19, 2016 11:11 am

I've recently purchased a new country boy OM hog/adi. I'm in love with the balance, single note definition, responsiveness to fingers, yet limitless headroom when strumming hard. I'm playing both finger style and with a plectrum.

If you have a country boy OM, how do you use it? How would you describe its voice? Do you play finger style or flat picking?

Hi - I was intent on buying a great mahogany D at IBMA 2017, until I talked to Dana and Andrew and James at the Down Home Guitars booth. Ended up with an OM Country Boy in mahogany with a torrefied Sitka top. Amazed at the punch and projection I get from a small(ish) body guitar compared to the many D's I've owned. And Dana's guitars are simply the best playing guitars on the market, IMO. Love it
